The World Congress Of Georgian Jews (WCGJ) deeply mourns the victims of disasters in Tbilisi together with the people of Georgia. The WCGJ expresses its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prays that the number of victims has not increased.
For thousands of years Georgia has been and remains a hospitable home for the Jewish community. The Jews will always remember the warm, good-neighborly relations that connect them with the Georgian people. And today, when Georgia has suffered so greatly, the WCGJ expresses solidarity to its people and government.
WCGJ wishes Tbilisi to recover from this terrible tragedy, and expresses its readiness to assist the people of Georgia to overcome the consequences of the flood.
