Dear Friends and Colleagues!
Two weeks passed after you and we have participated in the great celebration, held in Tbilisi, which was dedicated to the 26 century anniversary of Jews living in Georgia. The basis for this was laid still in 2013, during the visit of Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili, the Prime-Minister of Georgia, to the State of Israel.
In today’s troubled world, in which the mankind faces different threats, the Georgian-Jewish relations can serve as an example of tolerance and sincere mutual respect among the countries, peoples and different religious confessions. Celebration of the present anniversary, participated by the leading figures of both Georgia and Israel, and also of other countries of the world, is the start of a new stage in the development of the relations between the Georgian and Jewish peoples and Georgia and Israel in the sphere of culture and science, economy and business.
My colleagues and I express deep gratitude to the Government of Georgia, headed by Mr. Irakli Gharibashvili, Prime-Minister of Georgia and to the World Congress of Georgian Jews, headed by its President, Mr. Gabriel Mirilashvili, for the organization and invitation to attend this unforgettable and really historic event.
With all our heart we wish You success in Your activities for the prosperity of our peoples.
God Bless You!
With deep respect,
Gabriel Ben-Eli (Elashvili)
